1. Be wary of different "bill to" and "ship to" addresses. Consider requiring a signed authorization via fax before processing.
2. Be cautious when sending overseas. It's hard to get your money back from fraud abroad.
3. Be careful of orders from free email services. Email them back and ask for more information before processing the transaction.
4. Be wary of price insensitivity. Thieves will often want fast delivery and won't care how much something costs.
5. Think about using a service. There are services and software available from companies such as Cybersource and Clear Commerce Corp. that fight online fraud.
